Here are suggestions of how to get to each checkpoint

    www.bonditomanlyultra.com/transport

  • Elite runners | <6:30hrs (Send requests to ultra@bonditomanly.com)

    A | 6:30 - 7:30hrs (4:53 - 5:18km/hr)

    B | 7:30 - 9:00hrs (5:18 - 7:07km/hr)

    C | 9:00hrs+ (7:07+km/hr)

    D | 11h +

  • All participants must cross the finish line before 7.15pm and meet the Check Point cut-off times.

If the previous runner in your RELAY team isn’t going to make the cut off time - you’ll still run! You’ll take off 15 minutes before cut off time.

  • Please also review our Redirection Plan for those who pass through an Aid Station close to cut off times.

  • Relay teams are displayed as Female, Male and Mixed. Unfortunately with multiple members, we're unable to age categorise the teams time.

  • The route map is available here.

Please note, this route is subject to change.

  • LEG 1 RELAY RUNNERS

Please arrive at Bondi Beach 1 hour prior to your start time.

    LEG 2 RELAY RUNNERS

The RELAY runners not running the first leg are not required to be at the Bondi start on event morning. The second relay participant can head straight to their allocated start Aid Station to warm up.

Please arrive at least 1 hour before your first runner is expected. You don't want them to get to an empty Aid Station and have no one to hand over to!

How to know when a runner is expected:

    - Plan ahead. Find out each other’s average 40km running pace. This will give you a general idea of when you should be ready.

    - Follow their progress in the Bondi to Manly Ultra App: ensure you

    a) select 'allow notifications'

    b) are following your team

This way, you will get a notification every time your teammate has passed a timing checkpoint.

Note, there could be delays of 1-2 minutes for notifications.

    - Listen out for the MC calling out your team number - they will get an immediate notification once your teammate has passed the closest checkpoint;

For Leg 2 runners, your teammate will pass a checkpoint ~1km out from Aid Station 2 at Milson Park.

    - Use 'Find my Friends' on Apple, or 'Share Live Location' on WhatsApp

  • There are 4 Aid Stations on course, at 20km, 40km, 60km and 70km.

There are three additional water stations on course at 10km, 30km and 50km (the third water station will also have electrolytes available).

    Further details are available here.

  • Leg 1

FIRST LEG – BONDI TO MILSON PARK, NORTH SYDNEY

Start at Bondi Beach as the sun rises, then run across the cliffs along Dover Heights, around Watson’s Bay and South Head, then along the spectacular Hermitage Foreshore Walk to Lyne Park in Rose Bay.

From Rose Bay, pass some of the most spectacular houses in Sydney through Rushcutters Bay and Potts Point before circling around Mrs. Macquaries Chair and the Sydney Opera House, then over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to finish in North Sydney.

  • Leg 2

SECOND LEG – MILSON PARK, NORTH SYDNEY TO MANLY

This leg covers some incredible trails. Hug the coastline around Cremorne Point, then through giant Red Gum forests around Bradley’s Head and Gubbah Gubbah, Middle Head, through Clontarf Reserve.

The last section is one of the toughest. It runs the famous Spit to Manly track, passing 200m from the finish line at Manly Wharf, then heading uphill and around North Head Sanctuary for spectacular views back across the Harbour.

RUNNER TRANSITION

RUNNER TRANSITION

How does the RELAY runner transition work?

1. Be there 1 hour before you expect to take off. Keep an eye on alerts on the Bondi to Manly Ultra event app + listen to the MC who will call our the bib number when they pass the timing antenna 500m away.

2. When your teammate is nearby (approximately 2 minutes away), move into the Relay Entry Area at the relevant Aid station.

3. Once you see your teammate approaching, enter the chute.

4. Wait for your teammate to approach before giving them a hi-5 and off you go. (Please be mindful of other runners and try not to block their way).

NOTE: Your time will start when you cross the timing mat located at the end of the chute, kicking off the next leg.
