Better yet, what won’t you find along the course? Hugging the coastline from Bondi to Manly, the course is not short of breath-taking views and diverse terrain. It passes 49 beaches, through national parks, circles the Sydney Opera House and crosses the Harbour Bridge. It traverses cliff tops and undulating stone steps, offering near non-stop views of the ocean.
Steeped in heritage and history, the Bondi to Manly course is brimming with landmarks and cultural sites. Learn more about what you’ll discover here.
In addition to spectacular scenery, there are public water sources and toilets at regular intervals in between the four (4) aid stations. In 2024 we will be adding three (3) additional water stations between aid stations to keep runners well hydrated. Please familiarise yourself with the locations prior to race day, see course map.
-
We recommend finding somewhere to stay in Bondi, Manly or close to Circular Quay. This allows you the easiest access to the public transport network.
Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or spending a week, there’s so much to do to make the most of your visit. With some of the best cafés and shopping, world class beaches, whale watching, SUP’ing the Harbour or snorkelling Cabbage Tree Reserve, museums, galleries, and plenty of spectacular trails to explore, there are plenty of options for the whole family.
All participants have and will continue to receive an email with discount codes direct to their inbox.

We’ve taken on board feedback from the 2022 event and there will be more signage, cones and volunteers to guide you along your way.
For the event, we've also made a few adjustments to our usual Bondi to Manly Walk to avoid any out and backs and keep it simpler for the runners. The Bondi to Manly Walk App and the existing waymarks are 90% accurate, there's just those few spots where we've made slight changes. We'll keep updating the GPX files on our website to keep up wth any changes but there will be a lot of bright yellow event signage and course marshals out on course for the day so all the runners can follow along to stay on course.
-
This is an urban ultra - which means there'll be footpaths, roads and bridges, but in Sydney we're lucky this also means there'll be dramatic clifftop views, beaches, beautiful National Parks and epic Australian icons.
While we'd love to close down the city for the day, it's a mammoth task and unfortunately we don't have that kind of pull (yet!) so there are a few things to keep in mind.
There will be pedestrians on the footpaths - If you haven't used it before, bring "on your left" into your vocab for the day, and say g'day.
There are a couple of road crossings. We'll have a couple of roads closed at critical areas and there'll be course marshals and traffic teams out on course to help make this as smooth as possible. Please only cross the road when it's safe to do so.
Spit Bridge has a few openings throughout the day: 10am, 11:30am, 2:30pm and 4:30pm. We'll have timing mats on both sides of the Bridge so, if you're logged as one of the few people who gets an extra 15 minutes downtime here, our timing system will automatically reduce that down to 1 minute. There will be warning signs leading into the Bridge a couple of kms out, but please keep this in mind with your pace setting.
